We’re back again with this new RC4 version. Since the last RC3 release, we received many patches and fixes, and also backported some important features like ATI graphics device injection, EFI64 tables and PCI root configuration. Also added a new boot option for hiding unwanted foreign partitions from the boot menu.

This RC3 build is a small update to RC2, but we’re providing the long-awaited proper Snow Leopard extensions loading and a few fixes like 1TB+ disk addressing support. There are also some changes have been made to the graphics enabler and to the smbios patcher. Also you can even build the Chameleon sources under 10.6.

In this new release of Chameleon 2 we have fixed many annoying bugs and also added some cool new features like NVIDIA graphics card detection, automatic RAID booting, enabling HPET on motherboards without BIOS control, setting the built-in flag for ethernet cards, hiding non-bootable HFS partitions.

Tired of choosing many different boot loader solutions, because each version offers a specific feature what others doesn’t?
Besides time and laziness factors there’s a big wall what we hit if we’re going to merge all nice features into a single release: It’s the 64k size limitation of the stage 2 loader. The last pieces of the puzzle has been found, now it’s time to grow up!
